Not Dark Yet
The Alabama-bred sisters are in a contemplative mood on the first duets set of their decades-long careers. They harmonize enchantingly, adding a special sibling something to selections from The Louvin Brothers (\"Every Time You Leave\") and Merle Haggard (\"Silver Wings”). Outside their country comfort zone, the women imbue The Killers\' \"My List\" and Nirvana\'s \"Lithium\" with new meaning, while their version of Dylan\'s remarkable title track is one for the ages.
Not Dark Yet is too harrowing to pass for casual entertainment, and too good to ignore.
Plus Steven Wilson - To The Bone, Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer - Not Dark Yet, Judy Henske - The Elektra Albums, Angelo de Augustine - Swim Inside The Moon
Not Dark Yet’s unadorned, low-key sound is key to some of the album’s more radical feats of imagination.
A welcome debut that will have you waiting impatiently for the next installment.
