Brickbat

Brickbat is a chance alignment of classic alt-rock veterans, on and of its own time

Piroshka -- the project of Lush's Miki Berenyi, Elastica's Justin Welch, Moose's K.J. McKillop, and Modern English's Mick Conroy -- was born out of nostalgia: In 2016, Berenyi, Welch, and Conroy had just finished Lush's reunion tour and wanted to keep making music together.

Featuring members of Lush, Piroshka's debut is a sparky and genre-spanning showcase of songcraft and ambition.

Piroshka immediately draw interest, not only from the curious name, taken from the wolf-terrorized hero in the Hungarian construct of the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood, but also for being what some might consider a supergroup.

Piroshka, the project made up of members of Elastica, Lush and Modern English, take aim at modern society on 'Brickbat' but come across a touch trite.
