After 1989’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” restoked Neil Young’s appetite for raging electric salvos, he reunited with Crazy Horse to crank it up another notch for *Ragged Glory*. Fortuitously timed to coincide with the eruption of grunge, the album exudes an impetuous attitude perfectly embodied by the raucous anthem “F\*!#In\' Up.” But with “Love to Burn” and “Love and Only Love,” Neil and the Horse set out on their most epic, discordantly psychedelic jams since their “Cowgirl in the Sand” days.

Having re-established his reputation with the musically varied, lyrically enraged Freedom, Neil Young returned to being the lead guitarist of Crazy Horse for the musically homogenous, lyrically hopeful Ragged Glory.
