RECHARGED
By 2013, EDM was so popular that even legendary music Svengali Rick Rubin wanted to get in on the action, coproducing this remix album of Linkin Park\'s *Living Things*. With its piano chords and clattering percussion, Rubin\'s \"reboot\" of the record\'s lone new song, \"A Light That Never Comes,\" nods to the roots of house music. It stands apart from the bombastic dubstep remixes turned in by heavy hitters like Datsik and KillSonik. Linkin Park mix-mastermind Mike Shinoda renders \"Castle of Glass\" as gothic techno, while Pusha T lays a verse over the ping-ponging synths of \"I\'ll Be Gone.\"
Like the first Linkin Park remix album -- Reanimation, which arrived over a decade prior -- Recharged offers reworked versions of an entire LP, this time 2012's Living Things.
