TDE fans might recognize Zacari’s heaven-sent voice from Kendrick Lamar’s *DAMN.* and *Black Panther* albums (“LOVE.,” “Redemption,” and “Paramedic!”). His debut EP demonstrates why he’s quickly outgrowing guest-feature status. *Run Wild Run Free* shows he’s a solid balladeer (“You Can Do Anything”), can flex (“Midas Touch,” “Young & Invincible” featuring Lil Yachty), and spits game (“Ten Outta Ten”). As the EP title suggests, Zacari operates in a positive, stress-free environment, even when adopting an emo singing style (“Don’t Trip”). He ends on a philosophical note—word to Hamlet: “To be or not to be, ain’t even a question; I’ma live free.”
