Yozakura

HTS is very proud to welcome back Tokyo-based DJ and producer WRACK after his appearance on our latest compilation "Seven Seas". For his first full release on the label, WRACK continues to expand his palette of rough club cuts & sci-fi inspired bangers with a 4-track EP titled « Yozakura » (a word describing cherry blossoms at night, as commonly seen in Tokyo). A proof that despite the certain hardness of his sound, it doesn’t lack any emotions and beauty. On the first track named as the EP, we find an atmosphere of scientists technologies dismantled by vocal gimmicks and sharp rhythms, giving the feeling of a take-off at maximum speed aboard a spaceship jostled by tumultuous gusts of wind, desperately seeking to find some air and stability. Once calmed on board, we go through « Pak », a fresh isle infused by elements of Reggaeton & Dembow causing jerky breathing due to temperature changes. On « Tribell », the scenery changes as we’re thrown into the middle of a heat wave, loaded with UK Funky drums, screams and fever-inducing bell sounds. After recovering, « Ai » (meaning simply « Love ») closes the trip with some sort of R&B vocals cutted by grimey techniques in a Ruff Sqwad manner, finishing in a 4x4 section rhythm as tough and sincere as the feelings revealed in this whole EP.
