Blue-Eyed Soul
Noteable
This loose, naturalistic set echoes Van Morrison’s early ‘70s albums, when he wove folk, gospel, R&B, and jazz into gentle, gold-tinted tunes. His taste and versatility shine on “Share Your Love With Me,” a Southern soul lullaby, and “Going Down to Bangor,” a rambling blues shuffle. More mystifying spells surround “Out In the Cold Again,” a crooner\'s ballad that Morrison slowly expands into ribbons of sound.
