Oblivion With Bells

Underworld offer their second album since the departure of longtime member Darren Emerson-- and first since their lone misstep, 2002's A Hundred Days Off-- and it improves on its predecessor and recalls their early 90s sound.

Like their heroes Kraftwerk, Underworld's Karl Hyde and Rick Smith appear to work in a completely sterile environment, unbothered by charts or sales projections or label concerns about their marketing abilities.

With Oblivion, Underworld has cashed in the hard-fought credibility they earned through an until-now consistent career.
