Nostalgia

TRESOR’s *Nostalgia* combines the sound of ’80s pop as well as disco, house and Afropop; all while maintaining an African sensibility. He also embodies pan-African ideals, drawing a spotlight to artists from across the continent—South African trio Mafikizolo, the DRC’s Lokua Kanza, Kenyan band Sauti Sol. The first single, “Electric Night”, is a boogie-funk throwback that sparkles with synths and an Auto-Tune hook from guest AKA. Contrast that with another standout, “Silale”, a traditional highlife number with The Soil that demonstrates *Nostalgia’s* impressive musical range.
