In 2015, Los Angeles DJ/producer Jennifer Lee, a.k.a. TOKiMONSTA, was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain disease that caused her to temporarily lose the ability to walk, speak, and comprehend music. After two surgeries, she gradually began writing *Lune Rouge*, a heavy collection of twinkling, psychedelic electro-R&B that’s imaginative and blissfully hopeful.
