Blues Rock
This self-titled album of old-school hard rock, blues, and R&B has kicked around other parts of the world since 2013, building up the reputation of star-in-the-making vocalist Phil Campbell. The Glasgow-born singer brings to mind elements of The Faces, AC/DC, Free, and other road-worn heroes. Their classic rock earned them an invitation to open for The Rolling Stones—and hearing the twin-guitar attack of Paul Sayer and Luke Potashnick, it’s easy to imagine this Movement taking hold in America’s heartland. “Only a Friend,” “Know for Sure,” “Morning Riders,” and “Take It Back” prove that hard rock still has plenty of life.
