…In Lines and Patterns
* The Six Parts Seven: ...In Lines and Patterns Album number one. Recorded in 1997, and originally released, on Donut Friends Records, in 1998. ...In Lines and Patterns. This title: sets everything, tracing in plain language, an intention that lasts as long as long as this band did… A way to play - to sound, and sound apart - reflecting the raining sky or, perhaps, disbelief itself, under the summer stars. * Here is where things blur: Vortex and swirl. The Six Parts Seven was born in 1995, when we wrote our first album/demo (cassette release only). Started out on, no joke, Lonesome Road, in Brady Lake, Ohio. Not giving a fuck about anyone else’s music… The Six Parts Seven, at all times, played pure. Partly a punk reaction to the early 90’s DIY scenes compiled of bombastically loud live bands. This group forged their own path, prior to Explosions in the Sky, And years before Mogwai hits the states. Call it synergy. Call bullshit. This is your jam, or, it’s not. Keep in mind: The real magic in music - is that the listener completes the art. Sketch Lines and Patterns into your own life. *
