Garage Rock Garage Rock Revival

C'mon!...'cause on April 22, the Garagefathers themselves, The Fleshtones, deliver a new collection of pure rock and roll, and you're all invited to the party. With the current crop of young garage rockers such as the Hives name-checking The Fleshtones as an influence, the guys themselves continue to make the same raw, high- energy super-rock that put them on the national map in the early '80s with their three I.R.S. Records releases and the now-legendary MTV program "The Cutting Edge" which was hosted by Fleshtones frontman Peter Zaremba. Now on their third 'garage-rock revival' Do You Swing proves once again that The Fleshtones are the most original-- and best--band of their kind.

Some folks like to say that history is cyclical, and it certainly supports this theory that just as a bunch of young bucks have (once again) come along to say that rock & roll is getting stale and needs a good dose of high attitude and fuzz-tone energy, the Fleshtones -- who've been saying the same thing since 1977 -- have re-emerged to remind the world how this whole "super rock" thing is supposed to be done.
