After winning the JUNO Award for Breakthrough Group of 2018, the Ontario alt-rock raptors are on a roll with this EP, which gathers two previously released singles plus three new tracks. Their stomping rock ’n’ roll is lightly brushed with electronic embellishment on “Snake Tongue,” while “Desdemona” and “Want What You Got” beguile with mood and tempo changes that recall Franz Ferdinand. Meanwhile, the dirty guitar tones and la-la-la lyricism on “Lame” and “Fascination” keep one moldy sneaker firmly planted in the garage.
