How Do You Sleep At Night? With You (Apple Music Edition)
Teezo Touchdown has always been a student of music, which came into his life early due to his father being a DJ. “I always bring up the story of hearing Big Moe. I don’t know what it was about that moment, but I remember holding up my radio player and just hearing his breath. It’s something about that moment, just the human aspect of it,\" he explains to Apple Music. Between appearing on tracks with Drake, Don Toliver, and Lil Yachty, joining fellow Texan rapper Travis Scott on his Circus Maximus tour, receiving praise from hip-hop legend André 3000, and releasing his genre-bending debut album *How Do You Sleep at Night?*, the enigmatic artist is carving his own lane within the industry. The Beaumont native delights in blurring the boundaries between hip-hop, R&B, punk, and alternative to create his own unique sound. “The sound that I’m crafting right now goes by the name of ‘rock and boom,’” he says. “It’s R&B with the intensity of rock, the penmanship of hip-hop, and a boom that’s going to shake the world.” On the extended edition of *How Do You Sleep at Night?*, Teezo adds three new tracks: “Up and Down” is a seductive track that mixes sounds from early-’90s R&B and turntable scratching; Teezo raps over laidback and mellow beats reminiscent of Cali rap on “Third Coast” and “Outta Respect,” which mixes booming drums and punchy guitar riffs during the first half of the song, then dissolves into a soulful melody towards the end.
