The Spacial Crime Symbol
from Mathieu Duval's 'My Record Collection' website 'This is the first double CD-R album by Sunburned (not those multiple cassette monsters) since the incredible Double Puberty. The Spatial Crime Symbol might not be quite as impressive but it sure will catch the unfamiliar off guard. In fact it's quite a confusing album and will appeal mostly to those who enjoy the Sunburned clan at their most impenetrable. A shorter version of Rat Sweat (an alienating, scat-heavy post-beatnik rant by a deranged lunatic) from Weekend At Burnie's 2 features here once again. More than half of these tracks include a similar type of weird, yet lyrical prose which is often hit-or-miss. The few musical bits on the album run the gamut between bizarre ambient-like experimentations, cheesy no wave/punk-inspired pop tunes and outrageous metal tidbits. And then there's everything in between. I doubt anyone will enjoy this album from start to finish, but like most of the band's more erratic works, there's always a few gold nuggets to be found.'
