Psychedelic Rock Jam Band
Noteable

Manhand 003 - released in 2000 on cdr and then later on QBICO as an LP. Recorded in Massachusetts. Cover artwork by Rich Pontius. Players: Cousin Rich / Conrad Capistran / Chad Cooper / Critter/ Dave Bohill / Phil Franklin / Brian Donnelly / John Moloney / Marc Orleans / Rich Pontius / Rob Thomas from Robert Duvial's "My Record Collection" This one is so incredibly groovy and psychedelic that the acid-tinged sounds almost come at you in a rainbow of colors through your speakers to tease the neurotransmitters in your already fried brain. Featherweight really lays down the mood of the album, it's combination of seventies styled keyboard jamming, flute and reverb soaked screams and yelps relaxing your muscles and taking over the part of your brain which makes you bob your head to the beat. The title track then takes advantage of the fact that you are vulnerable and lifts you up into space, making you expand, heavy and light at the same time, your mind floating among the galaxies. The bassline on this track is to die for it's so fucking amazing; and when the drums get louder and the vocals weirder as it goes along, there just ain't no turning back. The rest of the record follows the same guidelines. If you only had one record to get by this band...
