Double Puberty
From Mathieu Duval's "My Record Collection: "FUCK YES! This record simply KICKS ASS! This is one and a half hours worth of the Sunburned clan at their improvising best. Most of the tracks found on Double Puberty (all live material) is on par with any of their earlier recordings like Jaybird or personal favorite The Secret In Disguise. If the opening track doesn't convince you of their genius, then this band is just not for you. There's a strong Sun Ra-vibe to some of these jams as clattering percussion and bizarre electronic fuckery surface through the muck. And how'bout them traumatizing vocal rants? You gotta love'em! Other tracks are heavy psych jams worthy of the most fucked up krautrock classics. Every piece here is great, but a personal favorite has to be the second track off of the second CD-R ("Holy shit!" are the only two words that come to mind). Too bad this was released as a cheap double CD-R (with horrible artwork), because this could easily have enjoyed a wider release."
