One-third of The LOX/D-Block, Styles P is a street favorite who\'s been constantly on his grind since debuting in 1998. *The World\'s Most Hardest MC Project* is his fifth solo effort (following the likes of *A Gangster and a Gentleman*, *Time Is Money*, and *Master of Ceremonies*), and it finds him sticking to the script of undeniably raw thug tales set to grimy beats, completely unconcerned with Clear Channel airplay. Most of the producers here are of the obscure and unknown variety, though they rise to the challenge, supporting Styles\' criminal-minded wordplay with a cacophony of riotous drums and moody synth meanderings. Highlights include \"Hoody Season,\" \"Shooter,\" and \"Empire State High,\" while \"Pop Out\" flips some theme music that\'s instantly recognizable to any football fan. It\'s another solid release from The Ghost, bookended by comical skits inspired by Dos Equis beer\'s World\'s Most Interesting Man.

Coming on strong with that Mobb Deep-styled coldness and a Scarface-sized certainty, Styles P goes hard on The World's Most Hardest MC Project, but that last word in the title is worth some concern.
