Emeralds member Steve Hauschildt has said his second album for Kranky in two years uses technology as a way of expressing androgyny. He moves into intellectual electronics without losing the playfulness that initially made his work appealing.

Sometimes this can end up in disappointment, as with the newest Emeralds album, but in the case of Sequitur, the latest solo offering by Steve Hauschildt, it's a pleasing result.
