ara is about recording artists with singular sonic identities, and interrogating the way to release music nowadays Sorcery's “Discrete Optimization” embodies this concept : This record manages to capture the complexity and angst of our era, with 6 tracks made out of angular beats and sculpted textures. Sorcery’s intricate sonic constructions evoke a digitalised kaleidoscopic universe where gigantic drums collide like neutrons in a particle accelerator. For this release, we also have collaborated with avant-garde jewelry brand MØSAÏS to create a wearable artefact made out of pure silver, engraved with a QR Code. The wearable pendant acts as a key to access the audio files stored for eternity on the sustainable blockchain Arweave. It interrogates our notion of speed and time in a digital era by creating a conceptual tension between an intimate physical object and a permanent digital archive.
