In the movie “Eternity and A Day” Alexandre makes a deal to buy three words from a refugee child. In making Subsiding my intent was to explore the affects, images and sounds of those words. One of the words was Argathini. When the album was finished I mistakingly typed Agarthini as the first track’s name, it became an entirely different word. A few days before that; I had a conversation with a few friends about the intentional fallacy and works of Arvo Pärt (the music in this album is heavily influenced by him). It seemed apt to not to change the mistake and remain silent about the words. Reissued on Room40 March 29, 2019
