Into the Legend

More than an hour’s worth of symphonic power metal, *Into the Legend* was recorded in seven studios over four years, with a full orchestra no less. As the choir-bolstered choruses of “Rage of Darkness” and “Winter’s Rain” scale the skies, the album confirms that these dragon-loving Italians lose no grandness in continuing on without guitarist Luca Turilli. With virtuoso solos and arias embellished by grand piano, harpsichord, woodwinds, and more, they hit a magnificent crescendo with the 17-minute “The Kiss of Life.”
