Loud Pack
Hard to believe it\'s been over a decade since Memphis stalwart Project Pat first hit the scene, appearing on tracks with his brother\'s crew Three 6 Mafia. It was their smash hit \"Sippin On Some Sizzurp\" where most people first heard him, which was followed up by his own hugely successful solo anthem \"Chickenhead.\" *Loud Pack* is his eighth album since 1999, and pretty much sounds just like the first seven — which is a good thing. Dark and menacing yet oddly catchy production? Check. Absurdly repetitive hooks and chanted choruses? Check. High-octane rhymes about drugs, thugs, females and money? Oh yes. If you\'re in the mood for sensitive, self-deprecating, or tongue-twisting lyrical wizardry, look elsewhere, but when it comes to explosive Dirty South party-starters, Pat\'s still got it. Check out the whistle-infused opener \"Duffle Bag,\" the John Carpenter-esque \"N\*ggas So Cut Throat,\" and the breezy ode \"Kelly Green.\"
