Last August, Irish-born, LA-based singer and producer Palmistry released wyrdo as his debut Fool’s Gold LP, receiving praise from outlets like Stereogum, DIY Magazine, Dazed, and more. “It’s all terribly lovely and reassuring, and it sounds like nothing else,” said Stereogum’s Tom Breihan. Nearly a year later, Palmistry enlists a robust cast of producers to create a remix EP of some wyrdo’s standout tracks. The first one comes courtesy of DJ Mag’s 2022 Breakthrough Producer winner Nikki Nair. “fk a deal (Nikki Nair Remix)” is a remarkably crafted Jersey Club-influenced anthem that is already electrifying crowds. Also on the EP is West Philadelphia producer Matthew Law; Fool’s Gold family High Klassified and Chris Crack who reimagine an album interlude into a trippy rap song; and Palmistry’s close friend, UK-based beatsmith, Kamixlo.
