While many of P1Harmony’s earlier releases utilized the native English-language skills of Korean Canadian leader Keeho; the English-language fluency of members Jiung, Intak, and Jongseob; and the English-language performance abilities of members Theo and Soul, 2025’s *EX* marks the K-pop group’s first fully English-language project. There’s not a hangul character in sight as the members expound on the feminine right to break up with someone on the smooth synth-pop title track “EX,” nor when they lament the unwelcome intrusiveness of anxious thinking on the R&B-leaning “Stupid Brain.” Euphoric pop-rock track “Dancing Queen” has overt ties to the 1976 ABBA classic, while “Night of My Life” continues the party with EDM-infused energy. The album ends with a Spanish-language version of “EX,” a spiritual successor of sorts to P1H’s Latin-pop-influenced 2024 track “SAD SONG.”
