Trap Corrido tumbado

Though his come-up was tied to the corridos tumbados movement, most notably via the breakout duet “Pacas Verdes” with Natanael Cano, Cuban up-and-comer Ovi takes his rightful place among his fellow traperos on *Retumban2*. He links with generations of these artists on a global scale, including icons like Arcángel and rising stars such as Mora, all the while representing for his label home at Rancho Humilde. Case in point, the pan-Latin posse cut “Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren” brings together Mexican emcee Alemán, Puerto Rican star Myke Towers, and reggaetón veteran Ñengo Flow. A welcome entry in the bilingual drill wave, “Drill Tumbado” aligns him CJ with of “Whoopty” fame and the more seasoned Jon Z. Despite the Latin trap prevalence, Ovi still makes room for the cheeky corrido “Las 4 Ases” with Herencia de Patrones and his *Las 3 Torres* cohorts Junior H and Cano.
