*Confessions* is a unique, unsuspecting duet of sorts—a compelling collaboration between two singular musical forces. In “Nowheresville,” Teitur takes on a carefree attitude to his poppy lyrics, which are complemented perfectly by Muhly’s upbeat keyboards and woodwinds. “Cat Rescue” cleverly dramatizes a completely relatable situation.

Muhly and Teitur have found some rough diamonds in these half-obscured perspectives and inquisitive depictions of the everyday.
