THE 1998 ALBUM OF EXPERIMENTAL DOOM FROM THE UK METAL LEGENDS, PRESENTED ON DOUBLE HEAVYWEIGHT GATEFOLD VINYL My Dying Bride have been the leading light of doom metal since their debut album "As The Flower Withers" was released on Peaceville Records back in 1992. Influenced by acts such as Celtic Frost and Candlemass, the band's heavy atmospherics have carved a huge worldwide following over the years and they remain at the pinnacle of the genre and one of the most instantly distinguishable metal bands. Originally released in 1998, and following on from the breakthrough success of ‘Like Gods of the Sun’, ‘34.788%...Complete’ was My Dying Bride's 5th studio album & saw the band exploring more experimental & boundary-pushing territory to great effect, incorporating some electronic elements whilst still retaining the metallic edge and identity of their staple sound. ’34.788%...Complete was recorded at Academy Studios in West Yorkshire, UK, where all of the band’s studio albums had been produced to that point. Interestingly, the album's title derived from a dream guitarist Calvin Robertshaw had, where he was told the human race had a limited lifespan on earth, 34.788% of which had already expired. This edition of ’34.788%...Complete’ is presented on double heavyweight gatefold vinyl & features the bonus track, ‘Follower’.

While not a creative breakthrough on par with the previous Like Gods of the Sun, the intriguingly titled 34.788%...Complete still reveals new facets of the My Dying Bride sound; the emphasis here is on the dynamic dual guitar work of Calvin Robertshaw and Andrew Craighan, which lends tracks like "The Whore, the Cook and the Mother," "Heroin Chic," and "Base Level Erotica" much of their visceral intensity.
