Deathcrush

Mayhem's first official release, the Deathcrush EP is one of those contradictory recordings which arguably vaulted an entire subgenre -- black metal -- towards the fulfillment of its destiny while seemingly setting back the overall state of heavy metal beyond its prehistoric past.
