The first full-length collaboration from Money $ex founders Max Graef and Glenn Astro finds them crafting hazy house with a manic streak. Their sensibility is evident from song titles like “Where the F\*\*k Are My Hard Boiled Eggs?!” which puts funk piano through a fun-house mirror. The impishness subsides slightly on “Magic Johnson (Album Mix)”, which augments a Rhodes jam session with live drums, but overall, *The Yard Work Simulator* rarely feels like work at all.
