Mark Pritchard has been known by many names in his career: Harmonic 313, Jedi Knights, Africa HiTech, and Troubleman, among others. Now he\'s found a certain freedom in letting the aliases fade away and dedicating his gamut-running aesthetic to one name: his own. Driving home the commitment to this decision, he lined up a series of three EPs on Warp, all spanning a swath of genres in rapid fire. *Ghosts*, the first of the series, demonstrates a masterful command of the footwork and lexicon of drum \'n\' bass, but it also makes use of African-inspired polyrhythms, squaring them off with a nod to rave history. The title track is a standout; it positions a rolling acid arpeggio over a thundering, syncopated bass drum.
