A Mobtown Suite, Vol. 1

Mahatma X is a hip-hop trio based in Philadelphia, PA. Initially created in 2013 in St. Andrews, Scotland by producer MALK as an instrumental-beat tape project, he would later be joined by Jhana Gumption as live drummer and Jahred as MC. The group mixes live instrumentation along with samples to create a distinct and unique sound, jazzy and reminiscent of Hip-Hop of its golden era, all the while infused with high-energy and punk influence expressing the current situation of change and misrepresentation facing America today.
