Ambient Musique concrète

Originally recorded and released as a 3" cdr in 2007, Huis was made when I was obsessively into (and influenced by) the more playfull side of the so-called 'folktronica' scene: The Books, Múm, Colleen, Tape, Anne Laplantine, etc. I just loved the almost childlike quirkiness and melancholy of these artists. A big reason why I like Huis, is that it contains the early beginnings of my (still ongoing) collaborations with the Chantal Acda, Peter Broderick and Aaron Martin, who all suplied instrument recordings for me to work with. I owe a lot to these amazing people. I'm not sure why none of these tracks appears on the compilation Weleer (Lampse, 2007) – I guess that one was already in production when I finished Huis. I'm also not sure why I waited so long with making this available digitally, but here it is. And it's quite a charmer, if I may say so myself.
