Once considered a complementary offshoot of Latin trap’s mainstream pivot, the urbano R&B wave continues to develop its own identity in earnest. Where Lyanno’s preceding *Episodios* EP teamed him with a number of reggaetoneros and traperos, *Foreplay* drops the features to give the gifted Puerto Rican singer some Do Not Disturb time with the objects of his affection. Tracks like “Lo Que Me Pidas” and the luxe “Vip” bring his sound even closer to the English-language side of contemporary R&B without sacrificing his native tongue. A sweat-soaked single so detailed it makes listening feel downright voyeuristic, “En Tu Cuerpo” takes its time in the bedroom to ensure maximum satisfaction.
