Chilean producer José Antonio Bravo loves confounding expectations. While fans might be anticipating those signature chunky hip-hop breaks riddled with glitchy synth melodies, the man known as Latin Bitman is just as likely to conjure up a computer-enhanced vision of classic Brazilian jazz, weaving acoustic flutes and guitars into his disorienting mixes. *Homies* might initially seem like the club-friendliest collection he\'s released as a solo artist, though it\'s not surprising that styles like ecstatic house music (\"You\") and throbbing roots reggae (\"Express Yourself\") still feel delightfully twisted once they\'re run through Bitman\'s fusion-minded sensibility.
