Live: In The Round

Lady Antebellum’s albums often depict swells in emotional intensity with sleek crescendos in arrangement. But the trio’s new *Live: In the Round* EP strips away many of the studio effects while singling out the mini melodramas played out vocally by Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, with harmonic support from Dave Haywood. The onstage versions of five of the tunes from 2019’s full-length *Ocean*—including the piano ballad title track, the chastened confessional “Be Patient With My Love,” and the gently desperate hit “What If I Never Get Over You”—bring their fervent expression into focus.
