Self-proclaimed terminally-online New York-based artist Kinoteki's fourth studio album, "Dawn of the Final Hour", is a melting pot of the NYC producer's influences - melancholic anger within breakcore blast beats. Funky acid house basslines roam through sullied empty streets. FM synths and disjointed vocals fly high over footwork and Chicago house influenced bases. Experimenting in sound design, Kinoteki utilized AI-assisted sample generation through OpenAI Jukebox and other such technologies to manipulate various samples in creative ways. “The album name represents a final transmission. Dawn started off as a concept album for a final dystopian radio set of a DJ’s mental breakdown. The songs are structured and written like they would be ready for a club, you could I tried my hardest to make "bangers" if you will. As I arranged them in a narrative way though, I realized it sounded more like a break-up album. I didn’t experience or go through anything like that in the making of this, but I always fucking love the concept of one. They can be so dramatic for the littlest of reasons. That's exactly what I wanted.”
