Kicking off with the mid-tempo track \"My Wave\", whose gentle beats wind their way around tender, affectionate lyrics, *Leap of Faith* makes it clear that Ghanaian producer Juls aims to own the romantic, R&B-flavoured side of Afropop on his debut album. Guest spots from the likes of London rappers Kojey Radical and Eugy, and cutting-edge Nigerian producers Maleek Berry and Odunsi (The Engine), add an appealing hard edge to tracks like the sultry \"Coco\" and vintage scratch-heavy \"Temperature\". But it\'s in the lightly strummed guitar and smoothly seductive croon of guest vocalist Moelogo on closing track \"Eji Owuro\" that Juls finds his groove.
