Law and Order
Law & Order-- the solo debut from Foxygen's Jonathan Rado-- suggests Rado is fully prepared to make Foxygen records on his own. The collection sketches out a homemade grab-bag of jams and rough-cut gems devoted to monolithic 60s rock sounds.
With Foxygen's future seemingly in the balance, their guitarist is the first to strike out with a solo record.
Madness slowing to a soft roll must leave your head a little dry, achy, your bones brittle. Like a hangover. One might think the now-simmering wake Foxygen slam-dunked this spring would leave one-half of the brains, Jonathan Rado, feeling spent, sleepy, in need of a long bath. But after a disco nap and a fresh stick of gum, his debut solo album, Law & Order, suggests he recovered like a champ.
