Good Day for Living

After a five-year hiatus, Arkansas-born Joe Nichols follows his 2017 album *Never Gets Old* with *Good Day for Living*. His 10th studio album finds Nichols returning to more traditional country territory, leaving behind some (but not all) of the studio bells and whistles of its genre-blending predecessor. What remains is tried-and-true country music, with standouts including the nostalgic \"Home Run\" and the hopeful title track. The star of the LP is, of course, Nichols\' long-celebrated voice, which he expertly shifts from a tender croon (\"I Wanna Be Your Tonight\") to a mischievous twang (\"Screened In\"), hitting all the notes in between.
