It's been 10 years since Long Island/Brooklyn native, J57 released Digital Society and the album has clearly stood the test of time. Digital Society is a groundbreaking release, an anthemic electronic hip hop soundtrack infused with soul, glitch and bass styles. On Digital Society, J57 draws contributions from Digga Jefferson Price on keys and vocals, Jordan Usatch on guitar and lyrical shading by Soul Khan of Brown Bag AllStars’ fame. Additionally, Deejay Element and Juno Award winner DJ Brace stamp their respective marks with nimble fingers. The bonus tracks feature very talented artists such as Sene, Co$$, Homeboy Sandman, Jamla/Duck Down Records artist Skyzoo, Andrew Reid and J57’s group, the Brown Bag AllStars. J57, the DJ Premier mentored artist who has collaborated with Method Man, Raekwon, Homeboy Sandman, Dr. Doppler and is a part of the Jamo Gang, has been on a prolific tear since this release. He has established himself as a highly sought after producer in both underground and mainstream hip hop circles. Check out fivese7encollective.com for the latest updates on what’s going on!
