On his debut Ital LP, Daniel Martin-McCormick (Mi Ami, Sex Worker, Black Eyes), jumbles familiar house signifiers until they represent something sloppy, shaggy, and surprisingly thoughtful.

Ital is the latest alias of Daniel Martin-McCormick, a San Francisco-based deep thinker and genre iconoclast whose résumé includes punk/noise/experimental mayhem with the groups Black Eyes and Mi Ami, and weird, murky solo electronic pop excursions as Sex Worker.

Fast living means any downtime must be quick and concentrated, so at only five tracks and forty minutes long, Daniel Martin-McCormick has much to pack into his adventuring onto ambient dancefloors.
