Their fanzines, the Shape label, the gigs they put on: there’s a lot to admire about Islet’s mini indie empire.
There's a great album in Islet - to get there they just need to find order within the chaos.
Musical misfits Islet would like to take you on a journey. The places you pass along the way may well feel familiar – woozy psych, groove-led post-punk, even slight shades of post-rock – but the destination is distinctly fresh, as genres are gleefully scrambled and reconstituted with a keen spirit of adventure.
Album review: Islet's 'Released By The Movement', the Welsh band's second LP, wins itself fans aplenty and a 9/10 score...
