IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) is the solo project of Melburnian singer, songwriter, violist and producer, Phoebe Dubar. This self produced project mixes her love of the Australian bush with lush layers of synths, vocals and viola to produce a truly unique, ambient soundtrack that somehow sits between the yoga studio and the after party. “I spent years writing dance music and hanging out in clubs. Now I have a child and a daily yoga and meditation practice. I see this music as being the halfway point between these two very disparate worlds” The album samples the Australian bush, juxtaposed with an expanse of swirling synths, ethereal vocals and viola to produce a deeply relaxing soundtrack. Phoebe says “We live in a society that is so far removed from our natural selves. From the world in which we naturally belong. Living in the city is inescapable for most people, so my mission is to bring some of that natural world to the city by combining these beautiful soundscapes with the more familiar sound of electronic music.”
