PLEASE NOTE: The events captured herein may or may not have occurred. Howard Stelzer has been committed to his blend of challenging-yet-evocative tape collage for years. Upon close examination, however, you'd be hard pressed to draw any definite conclusions. It's almost as if he is compelled to create, without any specific reason why. All that's known is that it must happen. This album represents two extremes of Howard's style. All recorded live; the A-side demonstrates a skeletal, distant and difficult journey through texture, repetition and sound, challenging the listener to endure harsh tones, subtle scratches, spacial ambiance and rhythmic minutia. The B-side offers a shift in mood; muffled tones, and moody ambiance flow with a cinematic drama. This album will leave you scratching your head and questioning all your preconceptions of "music."
