Piano Miniatures

"When playing the pieces from Piano Miniatures, I felt like I was back to my childhood. I was back to the games of that time, how I made trees, horses, small locomotives, mini castles, and entire miniature cities from building blocks. It was so exciting to do it all myself. To be completely immersed in the game and to look at and design everything from above simultaneously. That is still my ideal when playing the piano, and it is in this spirit I created my piano miniatures. The fifteen titles are works in small format, music as if viewed under a microscope: small film scores, mini sonatas, songs, tiny symphonies." - Henning Schmiedt
