“An infectious signature sound” – DUMMY “As spirit-filled as a Sunday morning sermon… Get familiar with Harleighblu” - COMPLEX “Fusing electronic production with some gritty songwriting… an enthralling return” – CLASH “Slick” – MISTAJAM | “Wicked R&B music” – TODDLA T | “I love the new Harleighblu!” – JOHN KENNEDY Out 3rd June, Harleighblu’s ‘Futurespective’ LP brings an eagerly awaited physical release for tracks from her “Futurespective” digital EP series (supported across BBC 1Xtra, Radio 1 and 6Music, Okayplayer, Complex, Clash and beyond), alongside a previously unreleased cut. Charting the exciting development of one of the most tipped talents in the UK’s soul/electronic world, the project sees singer and songwriter Harleighblu fusing her classic, hip hop-infused soul background with an arresting platter of future beats and a joyfully free and experimental vocal approach. “The Futurespective EPs have made me realise I can release whatever music I want to”, enthuses Harleighblu. “My amazing label always gives me that freedom, but it was nice to properly know it from the reactions of fans and DJs – they have been wonderful and received it with open arms. You always feel a little pressure when you switch up your sound, so it’s good to know I can be experimental and follow my musical heart completely. I’m so excited about the future.”
