Although *Aoxomoxoa*\'s songs are relatively more concise than the sprawling numbers of the band’s previous album, *Anthem of the Sun*, this psychedelic soiree is just as trippy in its own right. It introduces a number of the Dead\'s live staples, like the galloping \"St. Stephen\" and the sprightly \"China Cat Sunflower,\" but it also offers such lesser-known delights as the harpsichord-adorned folk ballad \"Mountains of the Moon,\" the acid raga \"What\'s Become of the Baby,\" and the acoustic, effects-slathered \"Rosemary.\"
