Arriving with UK grime in notably rude health (cap tip, Kano and Skepta), *Landlord* sees Nathaniel Thompson join the party by doubling down on his strengths. Namely, laying inventive, bulletproof rhymes over insidious beats. The hazy Stormzy collaboration (“The Blow Back”) is a predictable highlight, while “Whipping Excursion” is a flexing of some serous MC muscle.
